Representative of a huge dynasty of artists, engravers and publishers, working in Augsburg in the XVI–XVIII centuries. Son and student of the engraver of Wolfgang Kilian (1581–1663). From 1648 to 1650, he traveled with his brother Johann to Italia (Venice, Florence, and Rome). He engraved mainly portraits. Among them, the best are portraits of his brothers Bartholomeus and Johann, the painter-animator Johann Heinrich Roos, Johann von Spillenberger and Joachim von Sandrart. He completed about 300 works.
