The lower corners are cut.

Under the image: Ser.mo Sig.re… famosa opera di Paolo Veronese… Di Venezia li 23 Decebre 1637; lower: Gio Iacomo Rossi le Stampa in Roma alla Pace.

The author of the engraving is determines by means of comparison with similar engravings of G.B. Vanni, that are kept in the British Museum (London) and the Rijksmuseum (Amsterdam).

The etching is dedicated to Ferdinando II de’ Medici (1610–1670), Grand Duke of Tuscany.

The original of P. Veronese is in the Louvre.
