The title of the engraving was established on the basis of a comparison with similar engravings of Louis-Joseph Masquelier, stored in the National Library of France (Paris) and in the National Gallery of Victoria (Melbourne, Australia). The engraving was made in collaboration with François-Denis Née. Variants of prints of this engraving with two signatures are more common.
