“Distilling Journal” was a specialised industry periodical published in Odesa from 1897 to 1914. The journal covered theoretical and practical issues of distilling, as well as related areas of agriculture and industry. The journal published government decrees and explanations, materials on alcohol production technology, articles on the organisation, accounting and economics of distilleries, commercial and trade information, and reviews of professional domestic and foreign publications. Considerable attention was paid to covering the practical experience of distillers and manufacturers, as well as question and answer sections and thematic announcements.
The journal was published twice a month and was intended for specialists in the distilling industry, entrepreneurs, agrarians, and researchers of the history of the industry's development in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
