Personalities Bernigeroth, Johann Martin

Engraver with a cutter. The son of engraver Martin Bernigeroth, with whom he studied engraving. In his work, he imitated the manner of engravers of the French school. In 1762, he became a court engraver at the Saxon court. He created many portraits and book vignettes. His brother Johann Benedikt (1716-1764) and son Martin Friedrich (1737-1801) were also engravers.
