Personalities Filloeul, Pierre
1696, Abbeville – ? (after 1754)
The son of the engraver Gilbert Filloeul (1661–1741), with whom he apparently studied. He reproduced the paintings of Rococo artists: J.-B.-S. Chardin, J.B. Pater, A. Watteau, and others. Made two engravings after the Rembrandt's originals for the publication "Recueil d'estampes gravées d'après les tableaux de la galerie et du cabinet de S. E. Mr. le comte de Bruhl" (Dresde, 1754) (Collection of engravings from paintings in the gallery and cabinet of His Excellency Mr. Count de Brühl). He also worked in the field of book illustration.
The catalog of engravings of the French collections of National Library of France includes 150 of his works.
