Engraver, son of Jean Tardieu. Nephew and student of Nicolas-Henri Tardieu. He engraved historical and genre works. Known for two beautiful engravings after the originals of Peter Paul Rubens: "The Judgment of Paris" and "Perseus and Andromeda", which he executed for the publication "Recueil d'estampes gravées d'après les tableaux de la galerie et du cabinet de S. E. Mr. le comte de Bruhl" (Dresde, 1754) (Collection of engravings from paintings in the gallery and cabinet of His Excellency the Count Brühl). He worked on engravings for the famous four-volume edition of La Fontaine's "Fables" (1755) after the drawings by Jean-Baptiste Oudry.
