The text is supplemented by a large number of illustrations.
The author Emile Bayard (1868-1937) was a French illustrator, photographer, art historian, author of books on cultura lhistory, artistic styles, graphics, and decorative and applied arts, and at th etime of the book's publication, an inspector at the French Ministry of Fine Arts.
The copy of Odesa National Scientific Library is protected by a hardcover, the publisher's paper cover has not been preserved. The book is in good condition, all pages are present, without defects.
