This collection contains 31 fairy tales and short stories written by the prominent Ukrainian writer, folklorist and public figure Borys Hrinchenko. Among them are such well-known ones as ‘Father's Testament’, ‘The Ladle of Disaster’, ‘Two Brothers’, ‘Two Clever Ones’, ‘Truth and Wrong’, ‘The Merciful One’, ‘The Liar’, etc.
In his works, the author skillfully reproduces the motifs of folk art, moral and ethical ideas, conveying the spirit and worldview of the Ukrainian people.
