Translation of the book "Sketch of the Koliyivshchyna on the basis of published and unpublished documents of 1768 and the upcoming years" by Yakov Mykolayovych Shulgin (1851-1911), Ukrainian historian, educator, public and cultural figure, is an important source for studying the history of the Koliyivshchyna, a well-known movement in Ukraine in the eighteenth century. The author, relying on both published and previously unknown sources, including official documents, correspondence, and other materials, analyzes the events and personalities associated with this important period of Ukrainian history.
The translation of Shulgin's book, published by Taras Shevchenko Scientific Society, is the last historical monograph published by the society in the series of "Ruska Historical Library."
