On the basis of the publication of the family records of the Storozhenki family ("Storozhenki. Family archive") Oleksandr Serhiyovych Hrushevskyi (1877 - c. 1942) - Ukrainian historian, literary critic, ethnographer gives a very interesting outline of the management of the Cossack eldership, in which he analyzes land ownership relations, showing in what ways she collected estates.
Through a detailed analysis of land ownership and management, the author focuses on the study of the land estates of Leontius Svichka, recreating the features of the socio-economic and political relations of that time. This exploration opens the door to the past, helping to better understand the complex dynamics, structure and relationships of Ukrainian society, the polarization of social interests of the senior elite, the common Cossacks and the peasantry, the formation of administrative power in the XVII-XVIII centuries.
