"Crocodile", a weekly humorous color magazine with many illustrations. It was published in Odessa from April 2, 1911 to June 1912. This periodical is considered the most significant phenomenon of Odessa satire and humor. Publishers – Ya. Rogachevskyi (first 14 numbers), B. Fleet and F. Segal; editors - M. Juheli, Ya. Balaban.

On the pages of the magazine, the main attention was paid to local topical topics; next to jokes on "family" topics, you could see bold criticism of reactionary politicians. In general, the political theme occupied an important place in the magazine. The magazine published prose and poems, the topics were diverse: from everyday humor to sharp political satire, epigrams, humorous sketches, skits, fables, short dialogues, anecdotes, literary parodies, funny quotes, etc. The magazine was decorated with witty illustrations - drawings, caricatures, cartoons, small sketches.

The authors of the publications were local writers Y. Zozulya, S. Keselman (Eskess), E. Korotky, M. Topuz (Tuzini), drawings and caricatures - B. Antonovskyi, L. Mytnytskyi, F. Segal, S. Fazini, and others.

During two years, 63 numbers were printed. Why the magazine was closed, researchers have not yet managed to find out. It is known that fines were imposed on "Crocodile" for sharp caricatures.

The only complete set of the magazine in Odesa is preserved only in the Odesa National Scientific Library.
