Dry-Khmara M. Lesya Ukrainka: life and creativity / Mykhailo Dry-Khmara. – Kyiv: State. edition of Ukraine, 1926. – 156 p.

The monograph of the poet, literary critic, translator Mykhailo Opanasovich Dry-Khmara is dedicated to the life and work of the writer and cultural figure Lesya Ukrainka. The author presents new facts from the biography of the poetess, analyzes the influence of her uncle Mykhailo Drahomanov on the development of Lesya Ukrainka's outlook. Dry-Khmara notes the peculiarities of the poet's style, which are characteristic of the aesthetics of modernist writing: deep psychologism, insight into the secrets of human experiences, etc. The researcher pays special attention to the aesthetic nature of the writer's texts, the purely poetic qualities of her work.

The monograph is based on a fairly rich factual basis. The author carefully examines the socio-political conditions and sources of Lesya Ukrainka's work, outlines the typological connections of her poetry with the European literary context.
