A student and apprentice of Volodymyr Antonovych, Mykhailo Hrushevsky, has depicted and analyzed the main ideas and worldview of this prominent Ukrainian historian, as well as creative tendencies reflected in his public, scientific, social, and political works.
The author of the article accentuates attention on the national and political work of Antonovych, on his merits in public activity and cooperation with Ukrainian cultural and educational fellowships. The article makes the reader able to understand the importance of V. Antonovych’s role in Ukrainian representation in science and public life of Ukraine, in the development and security of the Ukrainian National Idea, which was based on humane and democratic beliefs.
