The book of the outstanding Ukrainian scientist, teacher, ethnographer, Slavologist I.I. Sreznevsky (1812-1880) was published after the death of its author. "Rukh" publishing house and the compiler dedicated it to the 50th anniversary of the death of the well-known historian of Ukrainian literature.
The introductory articles of the compiler A. Kovalivskyi are dedicated to the memory of Academician I. Sreznevskyi and the analysis of his story about the outstanding philosopher.
In his story, Izmail Sreznevsky touches on one of the most interesting and secret issues from the life of Hryhoriy Skovoroda, namely his love.
