The book examines the work of artist Mykola Samokysh (1860-1944), a famous painter and graphic artist, singer of Ukrainian antiquity, one of the best battlers of his time. Together with S. Vasylkivsky, he created unique albums "From Ukrainian Antiquity" (1900, reprinted in 1991) and "Motives of Ukrainian Ornament" (1912). His brilliant illustrations for literary works and magazine graphics are widely known.

The book is in satisfactory condition, all pages are available, without significant defects, the publisher's paperback has been preserved. On the countertitle is the title of the series in Ukrainian, French and German.
