The publication presents the full text of the Statute of the Ukrainian Society "Prosvita" in Odesa at the beginning of the last century, approved by the mayor Major-General A. H. Hryhoriev on November 25, 1905, on the basis of the general order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The main purpose of this society in accordance with this Statute is to assist the cultural and educational development of the Ukrainian people. The Statute also defines the composition of the society, that is, membership, the means of financing the society, the management system of the society, the rights and obligations of members of the society, as well as the terms of the society's closure.
