"Odessa Almanac" is one of the first provincial literary almanacs. It was published in Odessa in 1831, 1839–1840 by P. T. Morozov and M. P. Rozberg and D. M. Knyazhevych. Most of the articles are dedicated to familiarizing readers with Odesa.
Dmytro Maksimovich Kniazhevich (1788–1844) – statesman, scientist, writer, ethnographer, bright representative of the scientific and public life of the Russian Empire in the first half of the 19th century. At the end of the 30s of the XIX century. D. M. Knyazhevych initiated the restoration of the publication of almanacs in Odesa. In implementing this idea, he was helped by M. I. Nadezhdin, who published the popular magazine "Telescope" in St. Petersburg.
