The publication is devoted to the joint exhibition held in 1924 in Prague by five professors of the Ukrainian Studio of Plastic Art (Prague Studio Group): painters Ivan Kulets (1880-1952) and Serhiy Mako (1885-1953), graphic artist Ivan Mozalevsky (1890-1975), sculptor Kostiantyn Stakhovsky (1882-1959), and architect Serhiy Tymoshenko (1881-1950).
In a thorough introductory article by the encyclopedic scholar, public figure, one of the organizers and teachers of the Ukrainian Free University in Prague, Dmytro Antonovych (1877-1945), it is noted: ‘Under the modest name ‘Ukrainian Studio of Plastic Art in Prague’ lies the content of a private Ukrainian art academy with a broad academic program.’ The author describes the activities of the Prague Studio Group as a whole, as well as each participant of the exhibition. Black-and-white reproductions in the album part provide an opportunity to get acquainted with the exhibited works.
