The speech of the Ukrainian historian Arkady Vasyliyovych Verzylov, delivered at a meeting of the Chernihiv Archival Commission, dedicated to the memory of the outstanding historian, archaeologist and ethnographer Volodymyr Bonifatiyovych Antonovych, known for his works on the history of Ukraine and its people. The author tells about the life and work of his teacher and mentor - V. B. Antonovych, his scientific achievements and contribution to the development of Ukrainian science. The book contains many interesting facts from V. B. Antonovych life, the author's memoirs about his teaching activities and relationships with the student community.
