The work of literary critic, literary critic Oleksandr Mykhailovych Leytes (1901-1976) and bibliographer Mykola Fedorovych Yashek (1883-1966) covers all the diversity of post-October Ukrainian literature. The authors tried to highlight its evolution, stages and achievements of the first years of Soviet power. To do this, they selected documents that could give a general idea of the studied period, would allow readers to systematically analyze and comment on the development and achievements of Ukrainian Soviet literature. Thus, in a broad sense, this work is a short bibliographic encyclopedia of Ukrainian literature from 1917 to 1927.
