Oles Dosvitniy (Skripal-Mishchenko Oleksandr Fedorovych) is one of the brightest Ukrainian writers, representatives of the Shot Renaissance, convicted and executed for counter-revolutionary activities in 1934.
The presented edition opens with a foreword by the author with an explanation of the chosen plot line and the protagonists of the novel. The work is divided into three parts, its plot combines images of life of miners of Kryvyi Rih and, in parallel, the local literary environment.
The pages of this novel reflect the author's biography, his life experience, in particular, participation in the revolutionary struggle, journalistic activities.
