Odesa educational district was formed in 1832. The educational institutions of Bessarabia, Katerynoslav, Taurida and Kherson provinces joined its jurisdiction. The first part of the "Reference Book ..." contains information about state public schools. Separate issues are devoted to territorial inspection areas and provide brief information about the annual budget of educational institutions, educational staff, indicating their work experience and salary.
