In this work V. Heinrich, a senior doctor at Sevastopil Marine Hospital and port medical inspector, describes seasickness, still unknown at the time of its publication. In the preface, the author noted that his work would be useful not only to doctors but also to sailors who would be able to use his advice during sea voyages. In the monograph the author also gives for the first time information about the use of some medical remedies.
